St. Luke's Church - Monte De Palhagueira

St. Luke's Church was built by Mrs. Mary Cornelius Reid on an old threshing circle and is the only consecrated Church of England Church in the Algarve, having seating for approximately 120 people.
The Church is located in the triangle formed by Loule, S. B. de Alportel and Faro. There is a Sunday Eucharist each Sunday morning at 11.30 am, with the"1662" Order of Service being used on the third Sunday of each month.Adjacent to the Church is the Village Hall which Mrs. Reid kindly allows the congregation to use for fellowship and refreshments after the Sunday service.
St. Luke's Church has a special charm, in a rural setting offering a magnificent vista through its main doors. As such it is very popular for Wedding Blessings and the Chaplaincy team are comitted to making a Wedding Day something that will live in the memory of all who attend.
A friendly welcome is extended to all who use our Church and parents who bring their children to be Baptised at the Sunday morning service will notice that the Congregation rejoice with them on this most important day for their family.
For bereaved families, there is the comfort of an experienced and sympathetic team to provide support through a painful time.
You will receive a warm welcome and we will introduce you to a community dedicated to Christian values.
